Why is moving planting trees?

Because moving is a young company that takes responsibility and wants to make up for past mistakes. Since ancient times, humans have cut down more trees than they have planted. This hasn’t changed to this day, even though we now know very well that forests can do more than provide space for pasture – including absorbing our CO2 emissions.

This is also the principle behind tree planting projects: a tree absorbs CO2 and binds it. Many trees therefore absorb and bind a lot of CO2. The CO2 content in the atmosphere decreases, and global warming is slowed. Trees thus compensate for the damage we have caused. Research has shown that (re)forestation is the greatest natural climate protection opportunity available to us.

This is why we proudly support the tree-planting initiative by Team Malizia and Boris Hermann.

Why mangroves?

Mangroves in the Philippines are under nature protection because, alongside rainforests, they are the most important ecosystem in the world. An intact mangrove belt is not only a spawning area but also a habitat for birds and reptiles, fish, and crabs. In addition to their high CO2 absorption, a mangrove belt protects the offshore coral reefs and the coast from erosion, because waves are broken.

Enjoy moving! Best wishes from Roswitha Ram-Devrient & the moving team.
