Light on your feet

Light on your feet

Why does moving help you stay flexible and light on your feet?

Elastic fascia is key for effortless walking and good mobility. Think of fascia as the ropes in a pulley system, transmitting the force needed for movement and easing the load on your muscles. When fascia becomes tangled and tendons stiffen, the muscles have to do all the work themselves, which they aren’t built for, leading to constant tension. That’s why isolated muscle training that ignores fascia is as inefficient as mowing a lawn with a steam engine.

Recent scientific research shows that fascia remains healthy when it is slowly and gently stretched – as it is with moving. Without this gentle activation, fascia can become tangled, which can lead to long-term pain, since fascia contains a high number of pain receptors.

The moving exercises are therefore selected in such a way that muscles and fascia are efficiently stretched in a simple way – thus laying the foundation for a dynamic “presence” at any age.

Serenity is the most enjoyable form of self-confidence

Serenity is the most enjoyable form of self-confidence

Why is moving so effective at fostering serenity?

Because moving uses the laws of nature. “My car runs without refueling” – such a statement would at best raise an eyebrow and definitely mark you as crazy. But the statement “I can work day and night without regenerating” is considered much more plausible by many people, even though it contradicts the laws of nature just as much as the first statement. The autonomic nervous system in our body includes the two functions “activity” (sympathetic) and “regeneration” (parasympathetic), and only the use of both functions ensures a good quality of life.

moving is perfectly suited to efficiently apply the natural law – that “refueling” is as important as being active – in everyday life. Slow movement has been an efficient “refueling station” for regeneration since time immemorial, because “slow motion” activates the part of the autonomic nervous system responsible for recovery. Think of moving as an energy station where you naturally stop to refill your “energy tank,” just as you would refuel your car. A short “pit stop” with moving during your day keeps your energy tank full and allows you to respond calmly to the demands of everyday life.

Boost your immune system

Boost your immune system

How does moving help boost the immune system?

Because the vitality of immune cells depends on their environment. Just as we get sick in poor air, immune cells are not fit if they have to live in “dirty water.” The slow movements in moving clean the environment of the immune cells by removing waste from the cell chambers and thereby detoxifying the connective tissue. This provides the immune cells with more oxygen and nutrients. A strengthened immune system with vital defense cells can easily eliminate harmful pathogens efficiently.

Energized and ready to take action

Energized and ready to take action

Why does moving give you more energy?

Because you don’t waste your energy day after day by going through the day with the “gas pedal pressed,” when you can achieve the same performance with much less energy. Admittedly, your “power” doesn’t cost money directly (not counting the financial expense of food), but managing your energy better has the advantage that you don’t collapse exhausted into a chair in the evening, but still have enough momentum to enjoy your free time.

How does it work?

The biggest energy waste in the body is caused by our outdated “software,” which switches immediately to fight-or-flight mode at every demand, tightening all the muscles. How many challenges do you handle this way per day? Exactly! With moving, you can repeatedly normalize this constantly triggered muscle tension and remain in a normal “working mode,” which costs only a fraction of your energy. This way, you have plenty of energy available, which you can use much better than in painful muscle tension.

You’re in control of how you feel

You’re in control of how you feel

A bold statement – this title is provocative, but fortunately true and backed by scientific evidence.

Whether we drink a hot coffee, wash our hands, smile, or do moving – bodily sensations and movements influence our well-being.

This close connection between our actions and our feelings can be used, for example, when we feel stressed. Slow movement conveys a sense of calm (this has been known for thousands of years). So if you no longer want to feel stressed – do slow and gentle movements – you decide how you feel!

Stay fit – plant trees

Stay fit – plant trees

Why is moving planting trees?

Because moving is a young company that takes responsibility and wants to make up for past mistakes. Since ancient times, humans have cut down more trees than they have planted. This hasn’t changed to this day, even though we now know very well that forests can do more than provide space for pasture – including absorbing our CO2 emissions.

This is also the principle behind tree planting projects: a tree absorbs CO2 and binds it. Many trees therefore absorb and bind a lot of CO2. The CO2 content in the atmosphere decreases, and global warming is slowed. Trees thus compensate for the damage we have caused. Research has shown that (re)forestation is the greatest natural climate protection opportunity available to us.

This is why we proudly support the tree-planting initiative by Team Malizia and Boris Hermann.

Why mangroves?

Mangroves in the Philippines are under nature protection because, alongside rainforests, they are the most important ecosystem in the world. An intact mangrove belt is not only a spawning area but also a habitat for birds and reptiles, fish, and crabs. In addition to their high CO2 absorption, a mangrove belt protects the offshore coral reefs and the coast from erosion, because waves are broken.
